Not quite sure where to post this question, forgive me if I'm in the wrong place.
I need to transfer a long gun. Will the FFL who does transfers have the appropriate packing box, or am I expected to provide that myself? If I do need to provide a box, where do I get one?

Thanks guys.

I buy my boxes from Cameron Packaging. Expensive but excellent and have never had a damage claim.

Some shops will have boxes they may give you or charge a small fee for packing your rifle and postage. Call or visit in person to ask though.

If I have the factory box I usually use that. Otherwise I'll pay them to pack it, since that way they would be responsible for any damage.

Take good pics of the gun before you send it off though. Just in case.

Lifehack: buy the 51" flambeau hardcase from Walmart.com for like $20. You get the hardcase and an appropriate sized box to ship your gun with. Way cheaper that way than to buy and pay fedex/ups/etc and it's way more discrete.
