Fighter Encounters.....

The video is odd. They were in a constant rate turn the whole time, and the target was not that far away if it was also tuerning.

In the 70s our "optical" system had greater range than the on-board radar on fighters. If they were as close as the video appears to show, they would be able to count the rivets on the craft.

They knew what it was and were escorting/shouldering it out of the area.

Did someone dub fake audio?

Both videos purportedly were released by the navy.

The bottom clip shows a range at the top right. It doesn’t change from 99. I’m not sure why. The bottom video was taken from a plane which was not armed. Could be the reason.

I don’t know much about these systems. Looks like the first one was flying around 25k and the second was about 19.

The audio doesn't match what WE see. Could be they also had something else they were looking at and talking about.
