It's like any other car. Put some tubular suspension parts on it, upgrade the brake systems, and still a couple of a couple of performance parts at the engine and give it a tune and you've got a nice hot rod. I've been in and out of the car business for 15 years and I've owned nearly every brand of The Big Three that's been produced mostly. It's true they all have their pitfalls and they all have their great points. But none of them are all that until you start throwing the money performance in the form of suspension and engine output. They're adequate for the daily driver but for enthusiasts they definitely need money. I don't care if it's a Ford, Chevy, Dodge I mean you name it and they all need something. I don't believe that one car is better than the other this that and the other it's American made vehicles. Maybe in trucks that holds true to a certain degree in a specific area but cars are all the same. If you treat them right do the proper preventive maintenance they'll be good to you.
We're talking about ignorant individuals that think their King of the Road behind the wheel of any car. I spoke to a dude that Wade about 325 lb and was about 5'8. He alluded the police for 12 hours in a Vega and it didn't even have a V8. His exact words were " If I would have had a V8 they would have never touched me! ". 🤣
It's just an alarm of a possibility. I get these articles that pop up in performance magazines and I read them and just pass on some information. Could be true might not be true but it does spur the imagination and create some interest.
Back in the day, before roads became so crowded, nothing like a good chase to get the blood flowing.
That sense of elation once one successfully eluded. That horrific fine and mandated driver's school if you didn't.
