Anyone sell or install fireplace installs? Or has anyone here installed one themselves? I'm looking for some info on installing or someone to install one that has a blower system.

Fireplace Insert

I have a Silent Flame insert with dual blowers. Very easy install, as it just slips in the fireplace and a trim ring seals it.
Does it keep cold air from coming in when you are not burning? Our fireplace always lets cold air in? So I'm wanting something that insulates it somewhat when not in use.
No drafts in. It has a flute damper and 2 vents that can be closed when not in use
You should be able to close the damper on your fireplace when not in use to prevent drafts
Even with damper closed I get some cold air coming in. Its a prefab fireplace insert with thin metal damper.
I too have a prefab gas burner and cold air rushes in around it but not necessarily from the flue. I'm thinking it's coming in from the vent. I'd love to be able to seal this off.
I'm unsure on the prefab fireplaces. I have a standard brick and mortar fireplace with insert. Maybe an expert will stumble in the room with some knowledge
Yeah it's hard to tell where it comes in, but I thought from the vent as well. Not so much air rushing in, just always cold around it when not in use.
I need to get someone who knows fireplaces to take a look.
