Here's a neat idea for eliminating "first round pop" from a suppressed weapon.
Have a side-port on the can and a little C02 cannister handy to squirt some of the carbon dioxide into the silencer, reducing the oxygen level low enough to eliminate the pop.
(After you shoot that first shot, the smoke and gas leftover from that shot will make any subsequent shots quieter, if you shoot within a couple of minutes of the first shot.)
Likewise, this C02 oxygen purge system has an effective time period of 5 minutes, they say.
