Finally got one of my top of the list guns that I have been after for years. A Sig 226 in 9mm. Came close to a good many but usually either something came up or they cost to much more than what I could offer. But I finally got one. Not only did I get one, but it also covered another big want for my gun collection. I have been on the hunt for a gun that was made the same year I was born to add to my very minuscule collection so someday I can tell my grand kids that this gun is the same age as I am, and this old West German Sig is just that, the same age as me.

It felt great in the hand, felt like a "real gun" and not a toy. Then I went out and shot it.......

This is where the trouble begins...

After the first couple rounds warming up to the trigger, it seemed as though no matter what I did.....ohhh that target.....I just couldn't miss it, even out to 35-40 yards as it bounced away.

So not only did I finally get a pistol I have been after forever, I loved how it feels and shoots.

The problem you ask?

I was perfectly content with my $300-500 dollar Glocks. I only have one at the moment, but have had countless ones. I was fine with what I had and saw no need to look higher up the price chain....

Now instead of $400 Glocks I'm looking at saving up till I can afford a $1,100 Sig.....

I already had got a complete spring replacement set from sig that replaces every spring so as to make sure to keep this baby running till long after I'm dead.

Why did I think this would end well?......

The picture I messed with, I think it looks cool but it made the slide look more worn than it actually is.

Great weapon!
I know what you are going through - I have one Glock myself, mainly because they are local. But one is enough!
You really need a 229 and a 220 or an M11a1 to feed your new addiction. For me personally nothing shoots better. Especially once you try the SRT trigger.

Welcome to addictive world of Sig. I've owned two 226s in 9mm. I've regretted getting rid of each one and have been on the hunt for a 229 Elite SS for a while. Hands down best shooting pistol I've ever owned. Both of em.

Luckily I skipped the glock phase and went right into the sig. My gf decided to get into sigs when she started buying guns so it has been an up hill expensive battle from there (p238, p938, p250, p226 mk25, and ultra 1911)

Put the srt trigger and a set of e2 grips on there you will fall in love even more
