Hey guys I'm looking to get a new fish finder for my little riverhawk. I currently have a Lowrance unit that has given me trouble from day one... such as moisture behind the screen, wont stay on even when connected to a dedicated battery, etc. And talk about some serious LACK of customer service!

So my question is, do I need to get another Lowrance or switch to another brand based off my one bad experience?

The newer humminbirds with the Switchfire are unreal.. I've got a 788ci that blows my Lowrance HDS-5x out of the water... both have their particular features, but I won't stray from Humminbird again - not after the same types of problems you have and the customer service flat out sucks

I've got an Eagle Fisheasy 320c in the fishing section of the trading post right now. It is a very good unit for a small boat, very clear screen and good color, but not real big so it doesn't get in the way.

I only used it a handful of times
