Fishing spots in Jasper

Oh this thread needs some attention. I am in Jasper on occasion for business. I would love to know the lay of the land better. Don't yall make me fish behind FATZ cafe cause I will...LOL...

Uhmm. Go to Carters lake. Fish the re reg pool the upper lake or the spillway below the rereg pool. All good fishing and I've caught a few striper in all three.

I have been getting my Gizzard shad down there by the damn..You can also get striper there..

I target Striper and White's..Never done any trout there, I go to the Rock Creek for trout..

Carters has big walleye and Spots and plenty of average bluegill as well as Crappie.

And Channel cats and other varieties of whiskered fish. Carters is my favorite lake I'm tempted to move to a house on or near carters lake again. I love that lake.
