Fixin' up the 1917

This is a hobby more than anything else however I do get paid for my hobbies! Isn't life grand? A friend brought me this 1917 that had obviously been packed in Grease for a better part Of 60 years and asked me to bring her back to life. I'm kind of proud of the results!

Sometimes it looks like you're going backwards and you discover The wood is completely dried out underneath the cake of axle grease

Only God knows what action this rifle probably saw in world war one and two

With a lot of light sanding and a quart of good quality oil and a rigorous wrist you get results

Boiled linseed oil, natural beeswax, and extract of orange peels can make a huge difference and refurbish a classic... thanks guys I'll update the picture when I get the final coats of beeswax on this weekend!
