My guess is these folks had them manufactured or had branded a manufacturers stock rod with their name at some point in time. It doesn't look like they carry private label rods at this time.

thanks for the input. guess I could get in touch with them. found the rod in an estate auction, auctioneer thought I was crazy wanting to buy an old cardboard tube. I couldn't help but laugh and his associate opened the lid on tube and pulled this brand new flyrod out. still got a good buy, but payed more than tube price.
