Anybody else has ever seen one of these? I bought it at a army navy store around 1977. I spent my summer work money at the store buying helmets, bayonets and belt buckles. I just found it again while cleaning out a old closet. Sorry crappy picture

I have a repro and you can work it like a butterfly knife if you practice.

Lift the safety, hold the portion of the handle that is next to your hand, then flick it away from you. Like a switchblade once you get good at it.

Mine is very stiff. Probably put a little oil on it and put it up for another 40 years

I also have a Japanese WW 2 police officer sword I picked up from a buddy couple years ago. The buddy retired and sold out to move to Alabama. When I got their, he had just sold a Enfield, Mauser 98 and a Arisaka. All of them were bring backs from the war. I was able to grab a Tula sks and five knives made by Kevin Kinsey who use to make knives in Cartersville. I tried to talk him into selling me a Chinese sks that he had brought back from Vietnam with paperwork. No luck on that one

Unfortunately, It’s a replica for the tourist market. I got taken to the cleaners on two of them. Worth about $20.
It's my understanding that Nazi memorabilia similar to this are illegal in Germany. MY SIL who is German came to visit once and she brought three Nazi pins with her for me. Regular Red/Black/White Swastika, an Eagle Pin and one that was a mix of a pin made to commemorate a meeting between Japanese and Nazis. She was a caretaker for the old guy that actually wore it.. It had a Japanese sunrise burst inlaid with a Swastika. I had an Eastman's dealer who dealt in that stuff 20 years ago really hustle me to buy it. Still have it..
