Following Multiple Terror Attacks, Many Brits Want Their Gun Rights Back

The left has hoped and prayed for an event like the 1966 slaughter that changed the country against gun ownership.

Every incident has caused a spike in gun purchases and a new campaign against or should we say for more gun safety.

Remember safer guns and safer bullets

The UK will never allow people to own handguns, so it's a pretty moot point.

Once the "precedent" is established only a violent upheaval typically changes that "established" "precedent" in Europe.

We have fared better at restoring out taken rights but then we have this pesky constitution that keeps impeding the government and the folks who don't comprehend it.

during ww2 they also carried a 38 s&w(not 38 special) break-top revolver as a standard military pistol because the more powerful cartridges were too much for the untrained British civilians turned solider to handle accurately.

The british people were disarmed and when the british government needed them they were unprepared, smith&wesson had to make a modern s&w revolver for the british in at the time obsolete cartridge for military use

Interesting. I did not know the S&W story there.

Kennesaw has the same law. They have yet to be attacked, either.

Coincidence.

I think not.

More like, direct correlation!

Most of Europe's civilian's have been disarmed since WWII for "public safety" don't you know. Disarming citizens reduces crime and protects the public don't you know.

Yes, Americans did have to rearm the Brits and yes they do tend to forget exactly why being armed isn't so much of an evil thing. They just need a solid reminder occasionally.

You have to understand that the British attitude to gun ownership is fundamentally different. Even when pistols were reasonably available, the proportion of guns owners was still a fraction of that in America.
