Always will be a Ford guy but, I own a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer.
Compared to Ford's, you can get a Chevy for next to nothing. I bought mine with 67k miles, like new condition for $3000.
Try finding a Ford in that price range...
It now has 160K miles just 2 years later, I've replaced brakes, radiator, distributor, cat conveter, motor mounts, ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings....
Should have saved for the Ford...

Chevy all the way. And this is coming from an ex- blue oval guy. Fords just haven't held up very well for me. Sure, the engines last a long time but it's all the other stuff that will nickel and dime you to poverty. Seemed like every time I fixed one thing, something else broke.

I just sold my 1999 Z71 silverado which had 297k miles on the clock and the only thing I had to replace was the starter. My other vehicle is a 99 corvette with 158k on the clock and still runs and looks like new. LSXs are great engines and GM vehicles just seem to last longer and hold up better. At least for me they do.
