The ones I own are new 02 stamped 20s and 30s and they’re really nice. Some of my favorite, best looking, daily steels

Kerosene for the thick stuff. Take them apart and throw them in the old kerosene bucket

Wd40 also works as a solvent, but it will evaporate. Light coat of oil inside is helpful
