Baffles, some stacked with spacers. Tube and brake to the left. Blast chamber spacer on bottom, baffle, first spacer, baffle, etc....

Cutting turbulence notches in the baffles. This is optional. I cut notches in the first 6 baffles, I left the final 4 baffles un-notched.

Completed can taken apart and laid out. O-rings and anti-seize can be seen on the end caps.

Assembled can next to a Mystic. Shorter, lighter, seemingly as quiet.

Next I will abrasive blast the can, paint with VHT flameproof (I do not intend to use this with FA as I have other cans for that).

Very interesting project. Halfway through it I was wondering if you were gonna leave it bare metal. Then I got to the part about the VHT. Very good choice. Probably the best high temp coating available in a rattle can.

Actually, I cerakoted it with the high heat stuff. Pic on the AR10 is when it was first done. The other two I took just now. Looks perfect even after 1000's of rds of 308 and 6.5.
