I sort of second this. Because you found it while discarded, it’s yours to keep unless It was reported stolen or if it is traced to an aggravated battery or murder.

Douglas County landfill says you can't pick up or take anything. Breaks my heart to see some of the stuff that gets tossed out. They used to have prisoners down there to help you unload but they had signs every where that they would arrest you if you tipped them. I'm a criminal because I dropped a few dollar bills when the guys did a good job. Would love to be able to stand by and watch the crap hit the piles though and be able to get the good stuff.
