No they didnt. I dont know if they invented the "binary" trigger either. They do have it modernized and seems like a cool concept.

My personal opinion is binary triggers are sad toys for failed 'operators' begging for their first negligent discharge.

Thats a pretty blunt opinion of them. I dont see them as that, but i do see how they could be prone to user error if you gave it to someone who didnt know how it worked.
 
or even the owner who, in the heat of a moment, reverts to handling the gun like every other weapon they've ever used.
I notice folks like that tend to slap the trigger as opposed to hold and slow release. Its more of a novelty like 3rnd burst to me, but i support people's ability to buy such a trigger.
