Fraudulent activity on debit card

Two brand card numbers each time.

I'd guess my bank or master card has an internal breach due to two separate issues occurring right after the new cards are issued.
Could be somewhere you frequent. Like a gas station or something. I always wiggle the card reader to see if i can pull it off.

Anyone else having issues?

Last month, I replaced my card as the chip no longer worked and walmart among others didnt accept the swipe. 2 weeks later I had fraudulent activity. 8 transactions from Twitch Entertainment for 19.95 each.

I reported to the bank. And got a new card.
This week, I recieved letters stating my card is compromised. The other letters said no prior fraud/error was found and they were taking the money back from my disputes. I check my history last night and found a new fraudulent charge for $350.

There is more to the story but I'm not happy with United Community Bank. Calling them again...

Two new cards and this mess to deal with... fighting with the bank over the obvious.
Due to my travel, my CC usually gets compromised at least once a year. This year, my CC has been compromised (5) times. Each time I was given a new card, and within a few weeks of receiving the new card...compromised again! After doing some research and speaking with the bank at length I determined the following: If you use a digital wallet (e.g., save CC info on your Amazon account, or on your pizza delivery account, etc., etc.) you are FAR more susceptible. It works like this - someone gains access to one of the accounts in your digital wallet and they use your CC (compromised), you then get your card replaced, you update the card information in your digital wallet, and now they have access to your new card info...

I am not really certain how I was compromised in the first place but since I quit using ANY digital wallet accounts, I have had zero issues or occurrences.

No way Id be using a debit card for anything more than an atm visit. Get a cc. Let them handle the fraud when it happens. I recommend American express. Been with them 20 years. Ive never had my card hacked but I did get taken for an item on ebay years ago. They immediately refunded my money and went after the seller who turned out to have a criminal record.

Ive also been with several visas. Every one of them was hacked at one point or another. I dont know what Amex does different but their fraud protection is superior based on my experience.
