One of the things that BOA does is update you old number at any places that are on autopay. I got hit with three charges from Netflix, seems the updates don't always go though and my old number was sold on the web. They used my old number for the charges and BOA allowed them since I was an established customer. Another time two phones were bought with my new replacement cart. The problem was my new card hadn't been delivered and someone had already cloned it.Two brand card numbers each time.
I'd guess my bank or master card has an internal breach due to two separate issues occurring right after the new cards are issued.
I keep $100 in my checking account in case I ever need to hit the ATM(i can always instantly transfer more). Other than that, 100% of our purchases are via credit for this reason, plus my card earns 1.5%-10% depending on where I'm shoppingAnyone else having issues?
Last month, I replaced my card as the chip no longer worked and walmart among others didnt accept the swipe. 2 weeks later I had fraudulent activity. 8 transactions from Twitch Entertainment for 19.95 each.
I reported to the bank. And got a new card.
This week, I recieved letters stating my card is compromised. The other letters said no prior fraud/error was found and they were taking the money back from my disputes. I check my history last night and found a new fraudulent charge for $350.
There is more to the story but I'm not happy with United Community Bank. Calling them again...
Two new cards and this mess to deal with... fighting with the bank over the obvious.
10%? I might need that card!I keep $100 in my checking account in case I ever need to hit the ATM(i can always instantly transfer more). Other than that, 100% of our purchases are via credit for this reason, plus my card earns 1.5%-10% depending on where I'm shopping
