My nephew in England bought an apartment. While he was renovating he found over $60k, (in pounds), in 5k bank bundles.

Police couldn't trace it, previous owner of the apartment claimed it, but couldn't say how much was there, or where it was hidden.

This was a year ago, he's about to go to court to get it back.

I hadn't thought, I suspect so. Tax on it will be less there than here, at least !

For good reasons I won't publish, he and his father thought it best to report the find to the police.
