Found this Oddity with a fellow Trader oh, these Saturday night specials were produced by the Spanish under contract to the French for World War trench pistols.

The French contracted a Spanish manufacturer to produce 5,000 of these a month which was beyond the capability of the manufacturer so of course they subbed it out to other manufacturers oh, I believe there were four initially.

The French steadily increase their order until it reached approximately 50000 units per month at which time the French also found some other contractors and thus there were 25 separate contractors producing this pistol with little or no quality control, however this one appears to be one of the earlier ones.

Interesting roll marks which I will do some research on.

I am obviously going to need a pair of grips for it but it appears to cycle just fine and we will break it down for further inspection...

This is after I polished it for a good bit and it's looking quite a bit better...

Tons of variations out there and lovingly referred to as the Ruby don't ask me why unless it's a diamond in the rough or it was named after a perfumed hooker
