Fresh Rub

I have a pic from a week ago of two bucks fighting... that isn't supposed to happen either. It strikes me there's plenty we don't know about these animals.

Saw a fresh rub on a little tree Sunday at my place, looked to be less than a week old. Guess he is getting ready to shed his rack and is itching and found a place to scratch. First time I have ever seen a post season rub and it blew my mind when I saw it.
Believe it or not, last year on March 1st, I saw an 8 pt. trailing a yearling just grunting every step after her. She was a late born and had come into estrous

I was walking a local WMA and found a fresh scrape, these must be Alabama deer..... Going into rut in January

These weren't there a week ago. I took these pictures this evening. The last pic shows fresh bark right on top of the leaves.
