Friday/Saturday/Sunday night drinking and being funny thread….

Some guy moved in about three weeks ago, and he's already been 'written up' for having an area of his garden that ought to have some shrubs, but doesn't. They've directed him to plant some shrubs.

Now, you can't plant any old shrubs. You have to file a request with the HOA that details what you intend to plant.

Ignoring the fact that this guy might have zero idea what shrubs he might want, or how they'll grow in the space, or maybe even where to get them, he has to file an application in order to comply with the HOA's rules.

Madness. Pure madness.

I have and will never live in an HOA.....

This is my first rodeo with HOAs, and one of the board normally rides a golf cart around on a Thursday peeking down alongside the houses to see if we have 'hidden' our trash cans from people on the street.

I haven't been around when it happened, but one of the crustier neighbors had a bit of an argument with this woman a week or so ago. I advised him that we should call the cops and claim that we're seeing a suspicious character 'casing' the street for reasons unknown and see if we can provoke an arrest, or at least an interaction with one of the local officers.
