You might have a reticle jumping. What did you torque your rings down to? Vortex scopes have a very thin wall scope tube and are not recommended to torque over around 17 inch lbs.

oh and as hot as it's been in the last month, trying to keep your loaded rounds at a somewhat consistent temperature will help. If your ammo was taken from a/c house to a/c truck and fired in a short period of time vs your next time to the range the rounds had been sitting in the truck at 100+ degrees. There will be a difference

Maybe you could weigh and shoot high dollar factory ammo until you can rule out the rifle and optic.

Thanks for the info. As far as the temp, I never leave ammo in the truck. It stays inside until I'm ready to shoot.. Using Warne Maxima rings on the Vortex scope, tightened to 17/18 in.lbs.
