1999 Silverado Z71 extended cab short bed 4x4. Has 359,600 miles. 5.3 V8 auto OD trans. Runs and drives great, has been my daily driver until recently.
I’m only selling because I have 5 vehicles and I now use this one the least. I have owned since April 2010. I am the second owner.
Has new calipers, rotors and pads on the rear, and front pads replaced about a year ago. Battery replaced Sept 2020. Has had the trans rebuilt before I bought it. Water pump, starter and alternator have also been replaced since I’ve owned it. Fuel pump and fuel tank pressure sensor replaced this week.

It’s completely stock, factory radio and all. Power steering, power breaks, power windows and locks, tilt, cruise, 4x4, all of it works. Heat blows hot and A/C blows cold. Keyless entry, remote start.
Good set of Goodyear Wrangler tires on 17” wheels. Aluminum toolbox included.

EVAP leak can be anything from a vacuum leak to a bad sensor. More than likely it has a vacuum leak. Most of the time it takes someone with the ability to trace down this problem, repair, reset light then drive to reset computer before emissions will pass if you are in a covered county. If you aren’t in a covered county, it really does no harm To mileage or performance that is noticeable.
My opinion as a certified master tech and emissions inspector.
(most of the time , less than a couple hundred $$….pretty easy repair really)
Thanks for that explanation.
The light has been on for a year or so. I haven’t noticed any change in it.
I’m in a non-emission county so I haven’t looked into it.
