There is a significant difference in current and previous generation of the Beretta 1301 Tactical.
Previous versions had a fixed cylinder choked barrel and a shorter magazine tube.

The current version has an OptimaBore HP Improved Cylinder (flush configuration) included with this package as well as a factory one-piece magazine tube.

Is the rail aluminum or plastic?

Which version do you have?
If you can post a picture of the end of the barrel it will be obvious ;-)

Would like to know if gen 1 or gen 2 as well. Suspect it’s a gen 1 though.

I believe the bolt release was reworked on the gen 2 as well.
