Both the buttstock and the Heat Shield have been installed, but they have never seen fire.
I purchased the heat shield one week ago, but unfortunately when I installed a Magpul set I discovered that I had to remove the heat shield unless I did few modification either to the heat shield or the Magpul forehand, which I was not going to do.
The heat shield comes with a set of front and rear sight, you can chose to use them or not. I did not install them since I prefer the bead sight, so those are brand new.
Both come with their original hardware for a proper installation, including the bolt for the buttstock.
