Item Description: Custom built John Phillip Beck style 1780's Pennsylvania longrifle. This is a contemporary modern built gun built using traditional tools and methods. Has a 42" swamped Rice barrel with rounded grooved rifling and target crowned. Stock is flamed maple with lots of fancy grade hand caved accents and hand fitted brasswork. Lock is a small type Jim Chambers lock and has an adjustable double set trigger. All metal is browned and sealed. Rifle is deadly accurate to 75 yards with 80 grains of 2F goex and pillow ticked patched and lubed roundballs. I will also throw in a hand made leather possible bag with loading tools, cleaning jags, pillow ticking material, and powder. This is not a box store kit gun or a cheap replica. For all intents and purposes this is as close to the real thing as it gets minus the antique status.
