Item has been relisted, you can find the new listing at: https://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/threads/fs-fn-m1924-mauser-carbine-mexican-contract.2238228/
Item Name: FS FN M1924 Mauser carbine, Mexican contract
Location: Winder
Zip Code: 30680
Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: $300 OBRO
Caliber: 7MM Mauser
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: For sale is a very scarce FN manufactured M1924 Mauser carbine which was made for the Mexican government. Chambered in 7MM Mauser, this carbine has seen a hard life. With the exception of the barrel and receiver, this is a total mismatch. Bore is worn, and the upper handguard is handmade. Crest is very good.
There are Cyrillic markings on bolt, extractor, and trigger. Which is really interesting, as the Yugoslavian 'Nish' carbine uses an identical version of the M1924. It's possible some carbines and parts meant for Yugoslavia were rerouted for the Mexican contract.
This carbine may well have seen action in the Cristero War and the Escobar Rebellion (which that in itself is a hugely interesting history) it is far from mint, has led a tough life, but is a very hard to find Mauser variant. PM if interested, thanks!
