Item Description: Pretty good shape typical of the French rifles very fun to shoot ammo is easy to come by and isnt expensive the one for sale in not the sniper one(at least not for $725 haha)
Very fun to shoot and for you reloaders these shoot a .308 diameter projectile so you can really load these pretty cheap and get good accuracy.

What is the white thing on the charging handle? I always see it on these rifles, but it just doesn't look right for the timeframe of the gun to be original? Nice gun, I've just always been curious on that.

They are original to the rifles and it is an oversized charging hadle made out of hard nylon for gloved hands. They do look funky though and you are right it doesnt seem like it should be on it .
