Almost all of the older M70AB2s built by century, or contracted to 2 Rivers, or contracted to GMT etc. came with the factory OEM black poly handguards.

You’re probably referencing wood furniture often seen on M70 fixed stock variants.

A lot of us put surplus Balkan furniture on any Yugo we find seeing as their furniture is proprietary to their AKMs.

OP does it have a bulged trunnion? That would be more indicative of an earlier build before century started building 1mm slab side AB2”T” underfolders.
