Original owner. This has been sitting in a closet for decades. It was lightly used when first purchased, then put away for a few decades. Fine piece right here boys and girls, just needs a new owner to give it the love it deserves!
I shot a couple dozen rounds thru it to check for function, and it’s fantastic. Love the unique action and the trigger is beautiful!
Box & docs were lost/misplaced over the years. If the box ever turns up, I’ll happily hand it over.
Full disclosure: the case hardening colors are moderately darkened & dulled, hard to portray it in the pics, but you can still see the case hardening when holding it in person and with good lighting. I’m not a restoration expert, but maybe there’s a way to polish it up and bring it back to life?
I’m not a Colt expert either, so correct me if I’m wrong, but here’s what I could gather:
Based on serial number, this is first year production (1982) of the GS series when they did away with the matching 22mag cylinders and added a cross-bolt safety. Only 19,000 of these were made and only a portion of those 19k were case hardened (vs blued). 4.4 inch barrel
Comes with a box of Mini Mags.
