With the introduction of trench warfare, during WWI, a new weapon was needed in order to fight effectively in such close quarters. Enter the trench knife.
The Mark I Trench Knife was improved design developed in 1918. This knife had a double edge blade, cast brass “knuckle duster” hand guard for maximum damage with a punching attack. Finally, the knife had a “skull crusher” pommel on the bottom in order to smash the enemy’s head with a downward attack.
This Landers Ferry & Clark (LF&C) knife is in excellent condition...
