Ian from Forgotten Weapons on Youtube has a very detailed video with everything you need to know about this rifle. He can explain the lineage of this rifle better than i can LOL. I highly recommend watching it to learn more. It helped me identify this rifle. From what I can tell from the markings, this rifle was made and re-barreled in 1938 and it comes form the St. Etienne factory. Its missing it’s stacking rod but the rifle still functions flawlessly without it. I put 20rds of PPU 8mm Lebel with no issues and the ammo is readily available in bulk.
As mentioned I’m only looking to trade for a MAS 36 unless someone is dead set on buying. PM me questions and offers and I will do my best to assist.
