Item is for: Sale or Trade
Sale Price: +1400
Trade Value or Items Looking For: make me an offer
Caliber: .223
Item Description: Right now I am floating the idea of selling or trading my AR-15.
This is not your average AR-15. This is a precision long range target rifle. The former owner was a professional competion shooter
Description:
Lower - Bushmaster XM-15 ES2 Windham, ME with precision 2 stage trigger
Barrel - Krieger precision match grade .223. recently chamber casted by Ott gunsmith and told it was ultra tight tollerance .223 chambered. Has a Krieger free floating grip. recently installed adjustable bipod
Stock - heavy weight adjustable butt.
Sights - currently has a Tasco red-dot but will also include a RPA Olympic target sights.
This is an outrageously heavy rifle. The lower/stock weight is more than a complete average AR-15. The barrel is super heavy and designed for high volume round firing and is evident by the thickness. This is not a rifle that is designed to be shoulder fired unless you are capable of holding a heavy gun.
I am an amateur shooter and can put every round into the size of a dime at 50 yards. I have been told by a couple range masters that evaluated it that this rifle is purpously designed to reach out and touch someone at 500+ yards precisely.
I am considering a trade for a lighter weight AR-15 plus something to sweeten it like a M-9 or 1911. Between the modified lower, the Krieger barrel system and sights I have been told there is over $1300 worth of rifle there. There is a bit of wear on the barrel grip from where it was being held but it is a very smooth shotting rifle and has never misfed or missed the intended target.
again I am simply floating the idea for a trade or sale as I do enjoy shooting it, but would prefer something with a bit less weight.
