M6 Scout with original factory box and sling (minus paperwork)
*Overall length is 32"
*Barrel length is 18.25"
*Weight unloaded w/sling attached is 4lbs 13oz
*Single-shot break-action design
*Holds 15 rounds of 22 shorts, longs, or long rifles & 4 rounds of .410 shotgun shells under the fold-open cheekpiece
*.410 barrel is smooth bore with fixed full choke and is safe to shoot anything from birdshot to slugs
*Fixed front sight and windage adjustable rear sight (dovetail drift)
*Rear sight folds up/down to correspond with the barrels and is marked 22 and 410 (22 barrel on top 410 barrel on bottom)
*Barrel selection is regulated by thumb wheel atop the hammer (pull up to select 22l.r. and push down to select .410)
*Safety is engaged by placing barrel selector in the "middle" position so that it will not contact either of the fixed firing pins and twisting thumb wheel to the left "safe" position
*Lock up is tight with no noticeable imperfections in the fit, finish, or the operation of the firearm
*Removeable pivot pin allows for takedown
*Receiver is drilled and tapped just ahead of the rear sight to allow for an accessory rail and different sighting options.
*Modeled after the original M6's that were issued to pilots as a survival weapon in the event of a downed aircraft. The originals were 22 hornet over .410 and had a 14" barrel.
Pilots were instructed to wrap the barrels with paracord to form a handguard.
