Item Name: FS/FT Not your standard Bushmaster XM15-E2S HBAR
Location: Cochran/Warner Robins
Zip Code: 31014
Item is for: Sale or Trade
Sale Price: $700
Trade Value or Items Looking For: Pretty open. Milsurps, maybe a nice 1911, high end tactical optics, etc.
Caliber: 5.56
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description:
Bushmaster XM15 E2S HBAR. Windham era, before the Freedom Group buyout. Carbine gas system. 16 inch chrome lined 4150 heavy barrel 1/9 twist rate. Milspec CMP bolt. The gas key on the carrier has been restaked properly to milspec. You can still see the factory stakes too. This was a dept. trade in at a local gun store, so I assume the PD armored did this.
I got this in A3 configuration. Had the removable carry handle (Can be included, but I would rather keep it for future projects), I pulled the front sight block, ground it down, refinished it in cold blue, and made a pinned low profile gas block out of it. No bolts, no loctite, using the same holes and gas block that was drilled and pinned at factory. You can buy modified front sight blocks like this, but the holes often need to be redrilled for proper alignment and re-pinned with larger taper pins. 100% bombproof.
Ditched the commercial spec buffer tube and cheap stock that these comes with and replaced it with a Vltor 5 position milspec tube and milspec Magpul CTR stock. Castle nut is torqued to 40 lbs, and staked, again, no loctite, it was done the correct way.
Core15 12.5 inch key mod rail, with BCM grip, QD sling socket, and Midwest rail covers. Can't remember the torque value on I tightened the barrel nut to, but it is in spec.
The lower has not been messed with, other than the buffer tube. Everything is as-is from factory. Comes with exactly what is pictured: one steel mag, and no box or docs, no sights, or optics. The beard-saving duct tape is included, and highly recommended for the CTR stock. I can swap the grip for a spikes (Pretty much a Magpul MOE without the storage, or a Magpul MOE+) I have a set of Troy micro irons I could add for an extra $100. I may have an el cheap o red dot on my scrap box I can throw on it for free if you absolutely need some sorta aiming device.
Every complaint about Bushmasters has been addressed, and brought up to true milspec. This is basically what Bushamaster should be sending out from the factory. Rifle runs like a champ. I never shot match ammo out of this, but I usually got 3moa groupings with steel case and xm855, so the HBAR has the potential for 1-2MOA with some good ammo, maybe better with a good shooter. There are a few scratches and dings. This wasn't a safe queen, but she was cleaned regularly and stays properly lubed. Just got another AR, so this one is on the chopping block.
$700 bucks gets her. $500 for the AR and another $200 for the upgrades.

Trades are pretty open. Most of my short list is out of this price range. A sig or Springfield 1911 would work. CZ EVO pistol maybe? I like milsurps. High end tactical optics mainly 1-4 or 1-6x. Trijicon accupoint. Will take a gen4 19 plus cash. H&K handguns. May accept bulk ammo in 5.56, 9mm. Offer away.
Traveling is difficult for me, but I can probably drive some on Sundays or Mondays. FTF in Cochran or Warner Robins works best. Please PM all offers.
Thanks!
