When you remove the magazine rod, do you have to pull it out or will it shoot out on it's own from the spring pressure? If you have to pull it out, loosen the receiver screw about a quarter turn till the mag rod shoots across your room and scares the crap out of your cat. Pinched mag tubes from overtightened stocks/receiver screws account for a LOT of feeding issues with these rifles.
That fix I've never heard of. I still have another Model 60, I'll keep that in mind if I ever have any problems with it. My son likes that one or I'd probably be getting rid of it also. I have a few 22's that never jam so it's thinning time!
I'd also suggest polishing the inside of the receiver a little and also the breach bolt!. That stopped all the ftf and fte we think my model 60
It only works when it's loaded BTW. You need the .22 cartridges in there for the spring tension. When you load it, if you can push the rod back in and let go without if flying back out before you twist lock it in place, it's being pinched by a too tight receiver screw.
Ok, had some interesting offers and a couple of them I'm pondering over. But for now they are still available.
