Item Description: 43 Browning Hi Power. German Marked. All matching, no import marks. Missing rear sight. Besides the holes drilled into the frame for reasons unknown the pistol is in great condition. Functions 100%. Have to get rid of it to make room for something else. I have a C&R so I will need your license number and information for purchase. You also get an extra magazine.

On the holes, I took it to a guy from Double Eagle Pawn who goes to the big wwii fun auctions, it's his suspicion that the holes are of the time period and not current.

Ok for people wondering what the holes are for, at one time there was a
Side mount up and over for a scope for pistols. The holes
Match the pattern from the mount. Mystery solved : )

I won't admit to how many hours I've spent trying figure out the reason for those holes......

Word around the camp fire is they were working on an experimental sighting system.

That is the most common answer from FN hi power people. The Israelis would drill holes to allow water to drain out. That was normally done in the front though
