Item Name: FS OLD OLD BELGIUM REVOLVER*1800'S* COLT COPY
Location: Fayetteville
Zip Code: 30214
Item is for: Sale/Trade Only
Sale Price: $250.00
Caliber: .44-40
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: "Frontier Army" stamped on top of the receiver. According to what I could find on the computer, it was made by J B Ronge in Liege Belgium between 1880 and 1900. Caliber is not stamped on the pistol but believed to be 44-40. A .44 mag cartridge will fit in the cylinder but I wouldn't pull the trigger. Another ODT member suggested it is a .44 WCF. Mechanics seem to operate correctly. Cylinder advances when operated as a double action but does not appear to be a single action like old Colts. Purchased from an elderly collector, unique and apparently a rare piece.
***Just a note: Most of the questions I've received concerns shooting this gun. I'm not a gunsmith but considering it's age, I'm thinking a wall hanger, desk display or show and tell. Use caution and common sense so we can trade again later.
$250, may consider trades. Only thing I'm specifically looking for would be a Mossberg 835 in black or blue/wood, no camo. I'll kick in a little cash for the right deal. 770 461 -7031 Home, Mike. PM or call with questions. Can meet in Fayetteville or ATL Airport area.
