Item Description: M1 Garand IHC Appears to be original rifle Imported by Federal Ordnance.
I believe this rifle was a Federal Ordnance import available to Law Enforcement only, when these were brought back into the country “Once the rifles were supplied to foreign governments, they could not be “re-imported” back into the United States for sale on the civilian market. Circa 1977-1978, a clause in the regulations permitted some of these former military rifles to be brought back to the United States, but sales were restricted to full-time law enforcement officers. “

Barrel is Import marked and ME & TE is a good 4+
Rifling is bright and shiny w/ pronounced lands & grooves
All Major parts marked IHC
All metal appears to be of the same patina & wear is even and not indicative of a parts gun
Stock is Julian Dated and has Defense Acceptance Stamp & Circle P
A very nice example of an unmolested rifle in original condition
This rifle has been verified ie...looked over, by a fellow ODT'er, who's very interested in the Milsurp Market these days!
