Item Description: Read this entire description!! This Savage 10 ML SS is the baddest production muzzle loader money can buy. These rifles have been discontinued by Savage and are truly incredible. I have had one for years and just picked this one up today. I would not trade or sell my personal one for any amount. Read on to hear why these rifles are so awesome. I have been searching for a year to find a stainless model for a friend and have had no luck. This rifle is probably the only one available in the US for sale right now! The last one I saw sold on Gunbroker for nearly $1500.00. This one retailed for almost $1000.00 It comes with a laminated right hand thumb hole stock and Leupold one piece base and rings. Once you see it in action you will dump your old smoke pole in a heart beat. If you buy it, I will teach you everything you need to know to load and fire the rifle. I will teach you what powder and bullets to use and how to measure the loads. I shot a deer with mine in Illinois at 267 yards and it dropped in it's tracks. Tom 404-427-5275.

1. they shoot high power smokeless rifle powder so you get muzzle energy and velocity just like a single shot cartridge rifle!
2. no cloud of smoke after the shot that prevents seeing bullet impact!
3. no fowling, swabbing or immediate cleaning. You can shoot 100 rounds just like your cartridge rifle with no water swabbing. No black powder mess. No cleaning after every shooting.
4. these rifles are capable of 300-400 yard shots all day long.

do you have the little "dummy round" that the primer goes in... i argued with a gun smith a few years back about this gun.. he absolutely refused to believe a "smokeless powder" muzzle loader existed..my only question would be why did they discontinue making them...

They are 100% legal in any state for muzzle loader hunting. Savage discontinued them for 2 reasons. First they never really promoted the guns at all so no one knew about them and they were slow sellers and they needed the production time and space for other projects. The second reason is that a few dumb asses loaded the guns with 150 grains of smokeless powder and their guns blew up.
