Item Name: Remington Mosin Nagant

Location: 30135

Willing to Ship: No

Item is for: Sale Only

Sale Price: $300

Item Description: Okay, I am kinda new to the whole gun trader thing and trying to get started learning some gunsmithing. I started with Mosin nagant just cleaning it up a bit and that is about it. Come to find out it seems this is a rarer model Mosin. I can verify that the barrel is a Remington, however I cannot verify that there are any matching serial numbers. Looking for prices online I am finding anything from $300 to $2500. Due to the fact that I cannot verify any matching serial numbers, and the fact that this rifle is missing the top wood as well as the rod, I am asking the lowest price I found at $300 OBO (I am flexible on price), simply so I can get something else to continue learning.

First, thank you for the welcome! Second, let me clarify, the ONLY part I can verify is Remington is the barrel, and I can really only verify that due to the "R" in a circle when I removed the barrel for cleaning. Most of the other visible marks on the barrel seem to have been removed for the most part, can barely make out most if it. The only number I can make out for the date it the last number, a 7, but from what I can make out of the rest of the markings here I believe it is the Remington that was made from 1917-1918. I cannot make out the serial number though which is why I cannot verify that any numbers match. I do know the bolt is NOT remington, marks look like those of Izhevsk. All this is part of why I am asking the LOWEST price I found for a Remington Mosin and am very flexible on the $300 price, however I am told that simply because of the hex head receiver on it it is worth at least $200 to $250. At least that is what I have found so far. Please feel free to educate me as like I said, I am really just getting into all of this.

I didn't even know Remington made them

Welcome to the ODT!

Westinghouse made them as well.

Thank you for the link, beleive it or not, but that looks like one of the many sites I did look at trying to find out exactly what I did have here. was pretty helpful as I think this was the one I first found that gave the "R" in a circle symbol to verify that it is a remington barrel.
