Remington Rand 1911A1 made in 1943.
This one belonged to a Navy PT boat captain. Comes with the holster and magazine pouch. His hippie dippie worthless Liberal son sold it to me about 15 years ago. I'm still miffed he sold an heirloom but it's better than getting turned into a gun buyback and melted down.
The barrel is shiny like a mirror. The only a bit different is the slide seems to have a coating on it. It might be something the Navy did to it? Or it was parkerized twice? It shows more in the pictures.
The holster is a 1942 Hoyt and the magazine pouch is a March of 1918 date stamp. More photos are going to be uploaded.
