Item Description: I am selling my bear gun and checking to see if anyone local is looking for one. If not I will list it on a forum where I know it will go quickly. It is a Ruger Hawkeye Alaskan in .416 Ruger. Stainless and with a Hogue Overmolded stock. It weighs 8 lbs unloaded and without the scope. It hits like two freight trains but the recoil is manageable. It is in great shape and is very accurate. It has only been fired 52 times, but it has been hunted. There are a few nicks in the steel and some marks on the stock. I tried to get them in the pictures. The rifle comes with 31 Hornady 400 grain DGX Bonded cartridges and 44 once used Hornady brass. The scope and rings are not for sale. $1,170 is the price.

This is a awesome cartridge I switched when these came out ammo was cheaper than most magnums and there very handy in a tight spot . Will take down anything on earth

What rifle are you shooting and what have you taken with the 416 Ruger? I took a smallish black bear and a 225 lb 8 pointer, but I have never had the opportunity to hunt dangerous game or the bigger deer.
