Item Description: putting pieces of my AK collection up for sale. This started life as a sporter Saiga 7.62 x 39 rifle. It was mailed off to Rifle Dynamics for a full conversion. The pistol grip conversion was completed by RD. While there, they also converted the front end by cutting the barrel back to 14.5 and welding a PWS flash hider to the end. Then a venom gas block/front sight was installed. The result is an incredibly light and maneuverable front end.
Jim fuller’s modified rear sight leaf was installed. A RD AR stock adapter was installed. A B5 enhanced sopmod buttstock kit was installed on the rear. A magpul AR pistol grip and Kvar polymer handguards were also used with this gun.
All applicable parts were parkerized first and then finished off with a moly resin in burnt copper. This process leaves a finish that is tough as damn nails.
The gun was worked over/deburred by RD. Every part was inspected, the trunnions are exact, the rivets are perfect and when they were done, it was taken to the Las Vegas gun club and test fired for accuracy and proper function by the former owner, J. Fuller. RD won’t even do these conversions any more since they were purchased.
I have shot about 2mags through it and that’s all other than what RD shot for test fire.
If you are unaware, this is a superbly built AK. This is not a range toy CAI or PSA build. It was meant to be shot. It was built For heavy professional duty. A true battle weapon capable of heavy use and an heirloom item that can be handed down for many generations.
If you want to know why I’m selling, it’s because I build AKs, have been educated by rifle dynamics and have built an exact copy of this gun and need the room more than some of the guns in my collection.
I don’t have much free time these days so will have to work out a time and place to meet close to me, or NE of me.
I’ll be putting other AKs up for sale as well. Another Chinese Clayco preban under folder. A really nice 2nd gen Maadi. A NIB mak90, a couple used mak90’s and others.
