Item Description: The Smith & Wesson Model 29 is a six-shot, double-action revolver chambered for the .44 Magnum cartridge. The Model 29 will chamber and fire .44 Special cartridges as well. At the time of its introduction, the Model 29 was the most powerful production handgun in the world. It was made famous by association with the fictional character "Dirty Harry" Callahan.
This particular Model 29-3 was birthed in 1983 and comes as pictured with a 6” barrel. Target Trigger, and Target Hammer. It has no box or docs. Sometime in its life the wood grips were replaced with these very comfortable pachmayr finger groove grips. It also comes with a nylon holster. The Revolver is in excellent shooter grade condition. There is blueing loss on tips from holster wear as well as some loss on the Smith side plate where the previous owner said he cleaned off some surface rust. It is smooth with no pitting in that area. If you want a hand cannon to shoot and enjoy without the thoughts of hurting a mint revolvers condition this is the gun for you! Cash only as I have other projects in mind.
