This is a numbered, (pencil) signed print, #40 out of 50, by Clyde Heron.
It features the famous and eccentric Confederate General Thomas Jonathan “Stonewall” Jackson. The name of the print comes from the legendary speed with which he moved his infantry, and the print depicts Jackson with arm upraised, holding (of all things) a lemon. He was famously fond of lemons, and even today visitors to his grave often leave lemons at the site.
It is mounted on a triple matte and set into a wooden frame with metal corners. The entire frame measures 39 13/16 inches wide by 31 3/8 inches high.
