Item Name: FS Tomberlin E500 6 passenger cart, liquid cooled AC motor upgrade
Location: Braselton
Zip Code: 30517
Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: 4900
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: We moved into a new golf cart community, and bought a new 72V EZ-Go L6 lifted to utilize the off-road trails we now have.
Selling our Tomberlin Emerge E-500. 6 seater has served us well until about 1 year ago the motor started dying.
I had a local cart shop put in a new motor. 25hp AC liquid cooled, upgraded 2 gauge cables, new controller. The shop that did the work is in Braselton Ga and is affiliated with Panoz motor sports. The liquid cooled system has a radiator with fans seen in the pictures, mounted under the rear seat.
With the install of the new controller, the windshield wiper doesn’t work, and the speedometer and Odometer doesn’t work.
Had brakes worked on, tires in good shape. New Trojan batteries about 1.5 years ago. Have kept them filled, has auto fill system for battery water.
There is some rust on the seat belt chrome areas that click into the belt that could use some TLC, but has shoulder seat belts for the front 4 passengers and a lap belt for the rear. Seat belts work fine
I didn’t do the work, so can’t tell you a lot about specifics. It handles our hilly golf cart community well, but not my driveway. We have an almost 18-20 degree slope (I know it’s crazy- but we like that we sit up high). I have to get some momentum To get up with our Tomberlin. Our 4 seat RSV freedom goes up no problem, and a 6 seat txt also struggles a bit.
I’ve put about 5,000 of work into the cart, 3500 this past month.
Looking to move the cart. Our garage can’t fit all our toys.
Cost 12,000 new. I bought it when there was a significant tax incentive for an electric LSV.
Price: 4900 obo. Need to move this thing to make room in the garage
