Item Description: I am selling my Yaesu FRG-7, the Frog, as it's affectionately known. This is a solid unit that can operate on AC or D-cell batteries. The battery compartment is spotless. This unit comes with an external digital frequency counter. The unit also has a band filter mod and an meter attack release mod. It's not cheap, plastic, Chinese made junk. This unit was made in Japan in the 1970s. It's case is all steel, and the switches and controls all work like they did when they were new.
There are hundred of websites and YouTube videos just on this unit. This is from the Yahoo FRG-7 group:
The FRG-7 is an all solid state synthesized communications receiver designed to cover 500 KHz to 29.9 MHz. The FRG-7 is a triple conversion superheterodyne receiver utilizing the Wadley Loop System which uses a harmonic generator that is based on a 1 MHz crystal oscillator which produces a signal at 1 MHz intervals. While not a world class receiver by any means the FRG-7 remains a fine receiver for the casual shortwave listener and they are still a good value for the money.
I'll be happy to ship it with buyer paying the cost.
